Description

The Doctor of 鱿鱼视频app in聽 Health Research program is an alternative track to acquiring a doctorate degree, providing foundational course work focused on research and devoting more time to research proposal writing, implementation, publication, and presentation. This contrasts the traditional coursework-dissertation track of the Doctor of 鱿鱼视频app program, which requires 50-60 units of course work followed by dissertation proposal, implementation, publication and presentation.

The Doctor of 鱿鱼视频app for Health Research is a transnational education (TNE) program to be offered using blended learning, and will be operationalized under the UST Graduate School, in collaboration with the International Centre for Allied Health Evidence of the University of South Australia聽聽

Research supervision will be by local faculty members as content experts and international faculty members as method experts. Full-time students may be able to finish the program in 3 academic years.

Becoming Part of the Program

Application

Have completed a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in any health discipline and a Master鈥檚 degree with thesis component or a Medical Degree
For the non-medical applicants, a general weighted average not lower than 1.35 (92%) or A- in the master鈥檚 program may be admitted to a Ph.D. program. For the medical applicants, a general weighted average not lower than 85%
The submission of the following documents:
- Certified true copy of Transcripts of Records
- Referral forms from immediate supervisors, deans or professors
- Documents attesting to passing a bar/board examinations or being a scholar of an agency
- Certificate of聽 Good moral character
- For Ph.D. applicants who earned master鈥檚 degrees outside UST, c copy of the defended master鈥檚 thesis
- Endorsement letter from the Dean and Faculty Council from the affiliated college of applicant
- Filled out application form
An entrance examination composed of IQ test, psychological test, essay composition
Have published at least one paper as the primary author from his/her master鈥檚 thesis or residency program or as a professional in a reputable, peer reviewed national or international journal
Research proposal composed of 1000 words

Funding

Full Scholarships, which include tuition fees, stipends,聽 research grants, and dissemination fees, are given by the Philippine Council for Health Research and the Department of Science Technology-Science Education Institute.

- Quantitative Research (3 units)
- Qualitative Research (3 units)
- Clinical Practice Guidelines and Performance Review (3 units)
Advanced Multivariate Statistics (3 units)
Advanced Technical Writing (3 units)
Preliminary Research Project (6 units): which could be a systematic review or reliability studies
Research Proposal (3 units)
Presentation of Research Proposal at the beginning of the second term of Year 1
Application for Ethics Approval of Research Project

Year 2

Research Implementation, Presentation and Publication (12 Units)
One research publication聽
Mid-Candidature Review: Its purpose is for the student to show that he/she is undertaking high quality research and is done in a timely manner.

Year 3
