GS 500 鈥 St. Thomas and Critical Thinking
As the philosophical foundation of Research Methodology, it is a study of the principles of and skills in critical thinking according to St. Thomas Aquinas in the three areas of mental cognition: simple apprehension, judgment, and reasoning; and of common fallacies towards the acquisition of the art of argumentation.

GS 501 鈥 Research Methodology
The student is introduced to research concepts relevant to architecture and planning. Discussions center on how to prepare a thesis emphasizing choice of title, statement of the problem, sources of data, analysis, and evaluation of information gathered among others.
ARCH-PP 600 鈥 Principles and Concepts of Planning and Urban Design
Study on the different elements and theories that influences architecture, planning, and urban design. This emphasizes a comparative analysis of different theories and conditions in which they were developed.
ARCH-PP 601 鈥 Applied Statistics
A study on the techniques in organizing, analyzing, and interpreting collected information and on the concepts of probability, random variables, discrete and continuous probability distributions, frequency distributions and descriptive measurements, sampling and sampling distributions, hypothesis testing, linear and multiple regression, and correlation.
ARCH-PP 602 鈥 Housing
An interdisciplinary course on housing strategies and systems. This includes a historical look into housing development vis-a-vis economic development and on the problems that arise from planning in a cross-cultural setting. The course ends in the evaluation of current and past housing solutions both in terms of administrative and development strategy and architectural design.
ARCH-PP 603 鈥 Facilities Planning
This course concentrates on the planning of institutional facilities that have specific cultures within their types. Areas to be explored include health facilities, military institutions, business companies, theater complexes, and shopping malls. This course emphasizes the ability to identify and design for specific cultures.
ARCH-PP 700 鈥 History of Planning
This course studies historic planning concepts and movements that have influenced the profession. This included a comparative analysis of different ideologies vis a vis cultural and economic development working towards a causal analysis of the success and failure of the movement.
ARCH-PP 701 鈥 Land Use Planning
Study of present conditions of existing land use development and the impact of demographics to include legislation, financial and economic policies. This emphasizes the use of present model areas and the effect of new approaches and techniques to enhance the present planning system and the application of these to a special study.
ARCH-PP 702 鈥 Urban Planning Fundamentals听and Strategies
Fundamentals of urban planning housing on different planning strategies. This course looks on at profiles of the plan, and the different allied professions that make up the planning team. This course emphasizes the definition of a planning process that can be modified for different situations and settings.
ARCH-PP 703 鈥 Regional Planning Fundamentals
Study of the planning fundamentals and concepts in a magnified scale and extent pertaining to a region which is made up of sub-cultural and economic zones and a look at each influence in a regional context.
ARCH-PP 704 鈥 Human Settlements Planning
A historical analysis of post-human settlement programs. This course looks into the socio/economic, geographic/climatic, and cultural factors that influence development. The emphasis is on the creation of a process for the development of the adaptive and responsive human settlement.
ARCH-PP 705 鈥 Workshop
Application of acquired techniques in planning a specific guided study.
