Dr. Gregorio L. Martin I is currently an Associate Professor III in the öÏÓãÊÓƵapp Department of Medical Technology where he handles undergraduate and graduate courses in the field of medical parasitology. He graduated 3rd honorable mention in high school at Notre Dame of Greater Manila and cum laude in college with a bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology at UST. He had two Masteral Degrees namely: Master in Science in Medical Technology at UST and Master in Public Health at UP Manila. He also finished cum laude in his doctorate degree in Biological science also at UST and published part of his dissertation in the Journal of Parasitology Research, an international journal. He is a parasite enthusiast who specializes in parasite diversity, nematophagous fungi, medical malacology, Fascioliasis, and Schistosomiasis apart from his research on immunohematology or blood banking. He is currently the Secretary of the Philippine Society of Parasitology, a board director of the Philippine Association of Schools of Medical Technology and Public Health (PASMETH), and a member of the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists, Philippine Blood Coordinating Council and Malacological Society of the Philippines. He has authored and published several learning materials in parasitology, blood banking, serology-immunology, and Medical Technology Laws and Ethics that are being used by many schools of Medical Technology nationwide. He is also an adapting editor of Markell and Voge’s Medical Parasitology, which is circulating both nationally and internationally. He is also a national board reviewer, chair of the Faculty of Pharmacy Research Ethics Committee, and the head coach of UST every national PASMETH-PAMET Quiz Show.Ìý
